Ateliers Ouverts 2025

identité visuelle
identité événementielle

Cross-border event organized for 25 years, Ateliers Ouverts brings together hundreds of visual artists every May across Alsace and Switzerland for two weekends of open studios. The event blends professional encounters, festive moments, and opportunities for the general public to discover artists and their work. After 10 years of collaboration, the 2025 edition marks an opportunity to renew the event’s artistic direction. We developed a bold and structured visual system designed to strengthen the readability, recognition, and presence of Ateliers Ouverts in urban spaces as well as across digital platforms.

The poster for Ateliers Ouverts 2025 establishes the foundations of a clear, distinctive and flexible visual identity designed to evolve across future editions. By reinterpreting a familiar object (the aluminium balloon, both a popular symbol and an icon of contemporary art) the design playfully highlights the festive and welcoming spirit of the event. This strong and recognizable element can also be installed physically in front of participating studios, marking each location in a playful and engaging way.

This redesign is also an opportunity for us to look back on our ten years of collaboration with Accélérateur de particules. To mark the occasion, we are organizing the exhibition “Open Workshops, 10 Years, 10 Posters” in Strasbourg and have been invited, through the Espace Européen Gutenberg, to give a talk at the Strasbourg Press Club about this long-term collaboration.

This new visual identity also opens up new areas of experimentation for the studio, particularly in 3D modeling (thanks to the help of our apprentice, Romain Chabroux), allowing us to bring greater dynamism to online communication through a new format of animated posters.

As every year, the large-format poster was screen-printed at Lézard Graphique in Brumath.

This redesign also gave us the opportunity to introduce a third color into the Ateliers Ouverts palette. In screen printing, a metallic silver ink complements the range, giving the large-format posters an even more distinctive presence and helping them stand out when displayed in the street.
